Should I chase this chick?

Talking to this girl but barely. Maybe 2-3 times a week. Im the main one starting this convo seems like if I dont she wont. But then out the blue she calls or text but rarely first. My thing is I dig the chick. We sorta had a thing going in the beginning but now its not so much. I notice she plays hard to get at sometimes. No my question is should I chase this chick or just stop talking to her? And do chicks like to be chased? Oh and Im not usual a chaser but my cuz tell me I should be. I need to hear it from somebody else before I begin.
